Designed for the distance between the buckles so that girth points hang perpendicular rather than angled to a forward or rearward girth line. The Stability girth works to stop a saddle shunting forward & back and moving laterally on many horse shapes.
 
Because the width of buckles and sternum position does place girth over a wider area we advise going 5 longer than standard girths. 
 
Girth placement – ideal placement is so the buckles do up above the horse’s elbow and below the saddle flap.  Saddle pads that drop too far below a saddle flap may impede ideal girth placement (any girth).
